Workflow finder

Choose a tool for the file you have

Start with your file and the result you need. The finder takes you to a specific guide, with a reason for the choice and a check to make before you open an external tool.

Your file. Your next step.

Pick a file type and a task. Get a guide, the reason for that route and a check to make before opening a tool.

Match the workflow to the deliverable

A PSD preview, an editable vector and a small web image are different deliverables. Use the routes below if you prefer to browse without the finder. All routes remain available with JavaScript disabled.

Browser, desktop and file-processing choices

These are workflow distinctions based on provider documentation, rather than performance scores. Read the linked tool guide for its official destination and limitations.

Check the handoff, not just the first preview

Keep your original source. The useful check is whether the result works where it will be delivered, rather than whether one application opens it.

  • Reopen the exported file in the receiving application.
  • Compare text, masks, colors and important details.
  • Check dimensions, alpha transparency and any required metadata.
  • Retain the layered or camera original for later edits.

Questions, answered

Does the finder upload my files?

No. It uses your selected file category and task, without asking for a file. Choices stay in the page and are not sent to analytics.

Does it rank tools by speed or quality?

No. It suggests workflow routes. We have not benchmarked the listed applications.

Can I use it without JavaScript?

Yes. The file-to-task routes and comparison table are ordinary HTML links and text.
