Open an image, edit, then download

Start the editor and use Open to choose a working copy. The official build supports layered editing and documented PSD/PSB formats. A listed format does not establish that every font, effect or complex source file will reproduce exactly.

  1. Open the editor and wait for the PhotoCraft workspace.
  2. Use File → Open or the Open button to select a copy of your image.
  3. Make your edit; inspect layers, fonts and the canvas before saving.
  4. Use File → Save As for a working copy, or File → Export → Export As for a flat delivery image.
  5. Download the result, reopen it and keep the original separately.

Keep the working file and the output separately

An edited PNG is a flat image. A PSD can retain editable layer structure. Use a working document for later revisions and a separate PNG for a recipient who needs pixels. The PSD-to-PNG guide explains the delivery checks.

PhotoCraft is independent of Adobe Photoshop and Photopea. This site hosts an unchanged official release with its licenses; the browser build does not establish full Photoshop feature parity.

What stays on your device

The editor is served by this site; file editing runs in your browser. Opening a local file does not upload it to an ArtCraft Tools processing server. The editing workspace has no Google Analytics collection. Optional advertising appears outside the canvas only after advertising consent. The hosting provider still receives connection information when delivering application files.

The guide pages have separate optional analytics and advertising choices. Advertising frames are isolated from the editor; those services do not receive your editor files. External project and community links leave this site and follow their own privacy policies.

If the editor does not start

Use a current desktop browser with WebAssembly and WebGPU or WebGL2. The Graphics selector offers the documented WebGL2 fallback. The first visit downloads a large application package; wait for it to finish before trying again.

A keyboard, mouse and larger screen make the desktop-style controls easier to use. The guide remains readable on a phone; narrow editor windows ask you to continue before downloading the application. Download your work before closing or restarting; browser memory and storage are not a backup.

What we checked in this release

Browser smoke checks use a small synthetic image: open, make a brush edit, download PNG, save PSD and reopen the PSD. These checks cover that simple file path, not complete PSD compatibility, professional color workflows, large projects or every editor tool. Check your own representative files before relying on the output.

Questions, answered

Is PhotoCraft online free to open?

This hosted official Web build is available without an account or charge. It is separate from paid ArtCraft AI studio services.

Are my images uploaded for editing?

No ArtCraft Tools file-processing server receives them. The editor works on this device; requests to the hosting provider download the application assets.

Does a PNG keep editable PSD layers?

No. Save a separate layered working document and export PNG as a delivery copy.

Will it replace every Photoshop workflow?

No such guarantee is made. Check the actual document, fonts, masks, effects and saved output in your receiving editor.
