EffectCraft online

Open the official EffectCraft Web build for layered motion and composition work. Keep the editable project, then check a rendered sample before choosing a delivery format.

Preview a composition and keep the project

EffectCraft runs its composition engine and panels in the browser. The initial demo is a starting point for exploring its timeline. A saved .ecproj is the working project; a rendered image or video serves a different purpose.

  1. Open the editor and wait for its workspace.
  2. Explore the demo or create a small composition with a simple layer.
  3. Inspect the timeline and composition preview.
  4. Save a separate .ecproj working project and retain imported assets.
  5. Export a short sample through an appropriate documented route and inspect it in the intended receiving application.

Choose the output for its destination

Use the export guide to separate review video, transparent overlays and Lottie. These formats express different parts of a composition; not every effect transfers to Lottie. A PNG frame is a still image, not a rendered animation.

EffectCraft does not open After Effects .aep/.aepx projects or run After Effects plug-ins according to its maintainer documentation. A familiar panel layout does not remove those transfer limits.

Where projects and media are kept

The official browser documentation describes local browser storage through the Origin Private File System, IndexedDB or memory. The app may restore a previous local session and cache its application files with a service worker. Those copies can be evicted or cleared by browser settings.

Download your .ecproj and needed assets rather than relying on one browser profile. Storage, worker rendering and available export codecs can differ by browser; test a short sample on the device you will use.

What stays on your device

The editor is served by this site; file editing runs in your browser. Opening a local file does not upload it to an ArtCraft Tools processing server. The editing workspace has no Google Analytics collection. Optional advertising appears outside the canvas only after advertising consent. The hosting provider still receives connection information when delivering application files.

The guide pages have separate optional analytics and advertising choices. Advertising frames are isolated from the editor; those services do not receive your editor files. External project and community links leave this site and follow their own privacy policies.

If the editor does not start

Use a current desktop browser with WebAssembly and WebGPU or WebGL2. The Graphics selector offers the documented WebGL2 fallback. The first visit downloads a large application package; wait for it to finish before trying again.

A keyboard, mouse and larger screen make the desktop-style controls easier to use. The guide remains readable on a phone; narrow editor windows ask you to continue before downloading the application. Download your work before closing or restarting; browser memory and storage are not a backup.

Scope of the browser smoke check

The release check starts the workspace, creates a simple composition, renders a PNG frame and saves and reopens an .ecproj project. It does not verify a full video pipeline, audio sync, every effect, Lottie parity or all browser storage modes.

Questions, answered

Can EffectCraft online open an After Effects project?

The maintainer says .aep/.aepx and After Effects plug-ins are not supported. Keep the original project and investigate a deliberate transfer workflow.

Does a rendered PNG prove a video export works?

No. It checks a single frame. Check a short animation with the format, audio and player you actually need.

Are locally stored projects uploaded to this site?

The official browser build processes projects and media locally. Its browser storage is on this device; download a separate backup.
