## What is LightCraft for?

The official page lists library organization, ratings, albums and RAW development controls. It describes a non-destructive editing pipeline and masks.

Use a photo-library tool when the job starts with a batch of camera images. Use a layered image editor when the job calls for compositing separate objects, text or graphics.

## Will my camera files work?

The official page lists several RAW formats, including DNG, CR2, ARW and NEF. A file extension alone does not establish support for every camera model or color workflow.

Try a copy from your actual camera, including a difficult exposure and a high-ISO shot. Check decoding, white balance, lens handling and export colors. Keep your originals backed up.

## Download and development status

Follow the official LightCraft page for macOS, Windows and Linux downloads. The official Crafting Apps directory labels it in development. We have not installed or tested the desktop program.

## LightCraft or PhotoCraft?

Choose LightCraft to investigate library and RAW tasks. Choose PhotoCraft to investigate layered image editing. They are separate applications, so download and compatibility notes should be checked for each one.

For other RAW workflows, the alternatives guide links darktable and RawTherapee. Compare them with the same image set rather than assuming all RAW developers interpret a file identically.

## Questions, answered

### Is LightCraft the same as PhotoCraft?

No. LightCraft focuses on a photo library and RAW development; PhotoCraft focuses on layered image editing.

### Can I edit RAW files on this page?

No. This is an independent guide linking to the official application.

### Are the edits non-destructive?

The official project describes them that way. We have not independently verified its implementation.
